About HND in Interior Design
Interior designers must be creative and have a range of technical skills. Because interior spaces can make a difference in how we live and interact with everyday life. Interior design deals with making interior spaces more attractive and intelligent in dealing with structures, color schemes, furnishings and decorations. Through this study students are taught all the techniques and knowledge necessary to become creative in the fields of interior design.
Program Learning outcome:
1. Design Principles: Understand the fundamental principles of design, including balance, contrast, harmony, and rhythm, and how to apply them in interior spaces.
2. Space Planning: Learn to effectively plan and organize interior spaces to meet the needs of clients and users.
3. Material Selection: Gain knowledge of various materials and finishes, and how to select appropriate ones for different design projects.
4. Technical Drawing and CAD: Develop skills in technical drawing and computer-aided design (CAD) to create detailed and accurate design plans.
5. Sustainable Design: Understand the principles of sustainable design and how to incorporate eco-friendly practices into interior design projects.
6. Historical and Contemporary Design: Gain an appreciation of historical design precedents and contemporary trends in interior design.
7. Project Management: Learn to manage interior design projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
8. Professional Practice: Develop a strong sense of professionalism and ethics in the field of interior design.
About HND:
A Higher National Diplomas (HND), part of the Higher Nationals suite of qualifications, is a higher education qualification in the United Kingdom. It is accredited by Pearson BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council). BTEC Higher National Diplomas are internationally recognized higher education qualifications at level 4 and 5 that are equivalent to the first and second years of a university degree, providing progression to both university and employment.
The two years can be studied with us at University College of Tripoli or with our partner ABC Horizon Academy in Istanbul - Turkey. After the two years, students have the choice of either going directly to the job market or completing one year at British public universities to obtain a bachelor’s degree. Both the British Higher National Diploma from us and the bachelor’s degree from British public universities are accredited by the British Ministry of Higher Education and the Libyan Ministry of Higher Education.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Or the international university admission certificate (SAT, GED, Btec level3, A-level, YOS)
- The English language level must be intermediate or above (there will be a placement test.

Tuition Fees:
The study period is two years, each year has two semesters, and the tuition fees is equivalent to $2,000 per semester.
